Early Spring Tablescape

Tablescapes have long been a part of my creative expression. This spring I will begin a regular series focused on pulling together examples for inspiration as you plan your own events. First up was a design plan that could work for Spring gatherings.

Design Concept: I wanted something that was festive—but not overly “kiddie”—with spring elements. The goal was to bring to life the renewing nature of the season. The focus dialed in on pared back pastels as the base for the concept, with punches of color with tabletop accessories.

The key elements required:

Tablecloth - Easter Plaid with neutral fabric base and pastels throughout (HomeGoods)

Dinner Plates - Bordallo Pinhiero-inspired cabbage ware from Southern Living (Dilliard’s)

Luncheon Plates - Pink-rimmed, scalloped melamine plates from Shabby Chic (HomeGoods)

Small Plates & Bowls - Pink flower dishes (H&M)

Glasses - Vintage

Napkins - Blue with butterflies and bows from Shabby Chic (HomeGoods)

Napkin Holder - Rattan from Southern Living (Dillard’s)

Placemats - Woven rattan (World Market)

Flatware - Bamboo flatware (Amazon)

Decor - Easter Egg Topiaries (Local Vintage Shop)'
