A New Take on Fall
I’ve given in to my love for blue. All shades. Green has always had my heart — and still does. But, blue is inching closer with every day. This Fall, I found the perfect inspiration that happens to marry the two with all of the Ambers and warmth of fall color. April Cornell never fails with her Meadow print (I may have 3 versions of it now). In the photo above I’ve style the marine blue tablecloth with vintage Aynsley china, wood chargers, bamboo flatware, resin beaded flower napkin rings and a burnt umber napkins. The star of the table was my floral arrangement.
The Floral Details
Leveraging my tablecloth as a guide, I researched flowers and foliage that would help create the tablescape design. I wanted selections that built on the color scheme and brought the table to life with distinctive forms, draping and a whimsical feel.
Focal Flowers: Golden Ball Dahlias and Roses (Mathilda dark red / mauve, Amsterdam salmon pink , Butterscotch peachy yellow)
Supporting Flowers: Pink Hydrangeas, Orange Butterfly Ranunculus
Foliage: Seeded Eucalyptus, Brown Agonis
While marine blue might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to cozy fall decor, this tablescape proves that it is a worth contender for all seasons.
